The studio is owned and operated by William Nelson.  He has studied and played piano for 25+ years.  William has worked as a teacher in the Pennsylvania public school system and as an instructor in his own piano studio.  In addition to educating future musicians, he has also performed for events such as weddings, funerals, church services and has been music director for college-level musical productions. 

William is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association. 

Please be aware - No New Students are currently being accepted for the 24-25 studio year. You may still fill out the Lesson Interest Form and you or your child will be placed on a waiting list for next studio year.

William's Studio Philosophy:

Music has shaped every culture around the world. It is a one-of-a-kind language and a natural tool of self-expression. It crosses every boundary and can truly show that we are not that different no matter our race, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, or religion. Every student has creative elements in music that can be developed as their unique means of expression as I have done.

Objectives:

• Instill a love of music and the piano that will last far beyond weekly lessons.

• Develop technique and performance skills at the piano.

• Explore musical and cultural perspectives through exposure  and instruction in music history, theory, literature, listening.

• Nurture discipline and self-esteem and teach life skills: goal setting, practice habits, and time management.
